boqsor™ is an OGCS software package specifically designed for unit rate contracting. It is a computerised Bill of Quantities and Schedule of Rates system specifically developed for use in the oil and gas and energy sectors. The boqsor™ system was originally used during the early days of Oil and Gas development in the UK North Sea as a response to the demand for a structured approach to obtaining reliable fixed price bids when little design definition was available, and for commercial management of large scale Offshore Fabrication Projects.

The system was the forerunner of a number of other software applications in use in the industry today, however it retains its pedigree as one of the market leading packages in the industry. Todays’ boqsor™ system provides a unit rate contracting and estimating package for the new era of global fabrication projects. Our extensive inhouse database of fabrication quantities, norms and pricing for both onshore and offshore projects along with pricing data from all the major fabrication locations around the world allows OGCS to provide clients the ability to carry out a tender process on modeled information at very early stages in the design process, fix pricing structures with fabricators and provide accurate estimates of out turn fabrication cost. As the design develops quantity information can be updated and replaced throughout the life of the design through to the “as-built” stage. Interfaces between boqsor™ and the design information in CAD can provide a Semi Automated Measurement process reducing time and manpower in capturing quantity data.
